LANOLIPS

Built on the belief that healthy looking skin starts with hydration, Lanolips pays homage to the dew-drenching benefits of lanolin (AKA the animal-by-product derived from sheep wool washing). Infused in all the brand’s skin care saviours, this hero ingredient has the ability to mimic the oils released by human skin to soothe and deeply nourish in a natural way.

THE STORY OF LANOLIPS

Having grown up on an Australian sheep farm with lanolin as the salve to soothe all skin woes, Kristen Carriol didn’t realise just how amazing this ingredient was until much later in life. Going on to study marketing, before working within beauty PR, Kristen had tried every new beauty product to save her dry skin. But it wasn’t until she was suffering from chapped lips on her way to her honeymoon, that she remembered lanolin – and how her parents, grandparents and even great-grand parents used this hero ingredient to combat arid skin. Et voila, Lanolips was born, in the back of a taxi in 2003.

WHAT IS LANOLIN

Lanolin is a waxy substance, that is secreted by sheep to protect their wool. Released by the sebaceous glands of all wool-bearing animals, it has a similar molecular composition to the oils produced by human skin. But what does it do for our complexion? We’re glad you asked, not only does it lock in moisture, it protects against harsh environmental aggressors and prevent water loss too.

CRULETY-FREE

We are proud to say that Lanolips has been awarded a Leaping Bunny Cruelty-Free Proof Point from our third-party verification partner, Provenance. As the lanolin is taken from Australian sheep, Lanolips have made assurances that have been proven to Provenance, that the brands methods are cruelty-free. So, lather your lips, limbs and complexion safe in the knowledge that all Lanolips’ products aren’t harming those beautiful, fluffy sheep,
